Volunteer Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
Thank you for volunteering with The Rural Communities Mental Health Foundation (RCMH). By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you confirm your commitment to support our mission responsibly and ethically.
2. Volunteer Role
You agree to perform your volunteer duties as described by RCMH and to follow instructions and guidelines provided by our staff or volunteer coordinators.
3. Code of Conduct
You will:
Treat all beneficiaries, staff, volunteers, and members of the public with respect and dignity.
Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing the charity.
Avoid any behavior that could harm the charity’s reputation.
Follow all health and safety policies and procedures.
4. Disclosure of Criminal Convictions
You agree to disclose any previous criminal convictions, pending charges, or any other legal matters that could be relevant to your volunteering role, especially if your duties involve vulnerable groups such as children, elderly people, or individuals with disabilities. Failure to disclose such information may result in termination of your volunteer status.
5. Confidentiality
You agree to keep confidential any personal or sensitive information you learn about beneficiaries, staff, or the charity, except where disclosure is required by law.
6. Health and Safety
You agree to adhere to all health and safety guidelines and report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions promptly to a designated staff member.
7. Expenses
RCMH may reimburse agreed-upon out-of-pocket expenses directly related to your volunteering activities, subject to prior approval and submission of receipts.
8. Liability
You understand that volunteering is at your own risk. RCMH will not be liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property unless caused by the charity’s negligence.
9. Termination
Either party may end the volunteering relationship at any time, with or without cause. RCMH reserves the right to terminate your volunteer status if these Terms and Conditions are breached.
10. Media and Publicity
You grant RCMH permission to use any photographs or videos taken during volunteering activities for promotional purposes, unless you specifically opt out in writing.
11. Data Protection
RCMH will use your personal data only for volunteer management and communication purposes in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
Volunteer Agreement
By volunteering with RCMH, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
